Don’t settle for a smile that doesn’t make you feel like a true VIP. Porcelain Veneers can completely transform your smile by covering over dental imperfections and giving you beautiful natural teeth.
The key to a successful outcome is an understanding of the patient’s face. A smile is such a major part of facial beauty that with the shape, size, position and color of the teeth, you can really create an enhancement of the smile frame and face for an overall harmonious look. Teeth are an easy way to make yourself look good, healthy, and younger without having to do anything else.
Veneers are thin shells of porcelain placed over the front surfaces of your teeth to cover stains, crooked teeth, or gaps. With the ability to transform your teeth, our porcelain veneers are so life-like that your teeth will look like ones you always wished you were born with.
Do you want straighter teeth but don’t like the appearance of traditional braces? Many of our patients express this concern. Fortunately, Dr. Husam Almunajed Click to read more about the Dr. Husam Almunajed can recommend an aesthetically discreet alternative: Invisalign®.
Along with requiring fewer appointments than a patient with braces would need, another key benefit of Invisalign® is enjoying a straighter smile in less time. Treatment can be completed in as little as six months to a year – up to one-third of the time usually required for the same results with braces.
We can use Invisalign® to treat a broad range of issues relating to tooth alignment, such as:
Before starting this treatment, Dr. Almunajed will examine your radiographs and treat any teeth with decay. Then, he will sit down and talk with you about things you might not like about your smile or perhaps an issue he identified with your bite.
Next, photos will be taken of your teeth and smile, along with digital impressions of your upper and lower arches. These records will be sent to our partners at Invisalign®. In two weeks, we will invite you back to the office to review the ClinCheck.
This amazing 3D simulation will show us estimated treatment time and describe the calculated movements of each tooth. Once approved, your Invisalign® treatment will be shipped out and be at our office in just a few days, and we’ll prepare to start your treatment!
Your next visit will consist of adding small attachments (clear colored buttons) to your teeth to act as anchors during movement. These buttons are specifically designed to turn and push your teeth without being noticeable. Once treatment is complete, these attachments will be removed.
You will then receive your first set of trays and instructions on how to put them in, remove them, and clean them. We'll schedule your next appointment two weeks later to assess the treatment and give you the next trays.
Generally, we will see you once every two months until treatment is complete. As long as you wear the trays 22 hours a day, your treatment will be successful.
Included in your Invisalign® treatment are three refinements. A refinement will help tweak the final results, making sure every tooth has achieved our desired movement. Once alignment is complete, you will be fitted for retainers, and we'll perform a complete photoshoot of your new smile.
Your lifestyle can take a toll on your teeth’ appearance; years of drinking coffee, tea, soda, or red wine, as well as smoking, can darken your teeth and take away their brightness.
Let us put the sparkle back into your smile with our exclusive whitening service here in New York City. This is an easy and non-invasive procedure that can take away years of stain and discoloration from your teeth in as little as one hour!
- Your Preparation
Before your whitening procedure occurs, Dr. Almunajed will examine your smile to design your ideal whitening plan. You will also be required to brush your teeth with prescription-grade toothpaste the week prior to your appointment. This will help with teeth sensitivity after the procedure.
- How It Works
Dr. Almunajed will begin the treatment by covering your lips and gums, leaving your teeth exposed. Then, he will gently apply a special gel. This whitening solution will be left on your teeth during three 20-minute intervals and will be washed away afterward. A fourth interval could be considered if we haven’t reached the desired shade.
- After Care
Once we finish the intervals, we’ll apply a relief gel to your teeth. Next, Dr. Almunajed will review with you the food and beverages you’ll need to stay away from for the next few days. And yes, coffee is on the list!
You might experience temporary teeth sensitivity, but it won’t last long. Brushing with a toothpaste like Sensodyne can help, as well as staying away from extremely hot or cold foods and beverages.
Sometimes, no matter how thorough we are about caring for our smile, white spots or specks begin to appear on the surface of our teeth. These spots don’t match the shade of our smile and can make us feel self-conscious about ourselves.
If you identify with this, Empire Dental Aesthetics Click to go to the home page offers you Icon. This is a revolutionary and painless solution that can help restore your smile’s natural shine in just one hour!
- What Are White Spots?
White spots on your teeth are areas of demineralization of the tooth enamel, creating a weak spot on your tooth known as white spot lesions. These lesions can occur for many reasons, including:
- Plaque overgrowth due to poor dental hygiene, braces, or other dental appliances that are hard to clean
- Fluorosis, especially in small children who tend to swallow toothpaste or if you live in an area with heavily fluoridated water
- Nutritional deficiencies due to poor, sugary, or overly acidic diets
- Some children develop white spots after a chronic childhood illness, which remain into adulthood
- The Icon Difference
Icon Infiltration is used in cases where there is a need to fill in de-calcified areas of your tooth surface. This treatment addresses mild to moderate white spot lesions that require a more thorough treatment.
It is a simple procedure that uses a mild acid to roughen the surface of your tooth. This allows a special resin designed to rapidly infiltrate the roughened porous area of the white spot lesion, adhering to your tooth. In the end, this treatment helps seal the enamel’s porous condition and helps prevent further demineralization.
- Are You A Candidate?
If you have white spots on your teeth that affect your smile’s aesthetics, you are likely a good candidate for treatment.
Candidates for treatment have:
- The desire to have a confident and blemish-free smile
- Want to have tooth enamel free of annoying white spots
- A wish to have a more even color to the teeth
