Meet Dr. Almunajed

Dr. Husam Almunajed grew up in Southern Connecticut, always eyeing New York City and fascinated by its glory. After attending Villanova University for undergraduate studies and Georgetown University for his Masters, Dr. Husam continued the tradition of attending the Big East Schools and graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine.

In his pursuit of mastering his craft, he completed a two-year residency at the University of Connecticut Health Center, where he focused on comprehensive dental care. With a strong belief in continuing education and mentorship, Dr. Almunajed also completed many continuing education programs from distinguished clinicians in the profession.

His interdisciplinary approach to dentistry is founded in both empirical research and clinical experience. Furthermore, his unique ability to impart complex clinical processes in a logical, systematic, and clear methodology differentiates him from other dental specialists.

In addition to maintaining his private practice, Dr. Husam holds a Clinical Instructor position at New York University School of Dental Medicine’s premier Aesthetic Dentistry Program. A former student of this training program, Dr. Husam progressed through all levels and achieved the Masters level multiple times before being asked to be part of the faculty.

Over the last ten years of my career, I have focused on becoming not only an exceptional dentist but an excellent comprehensive dentist.

First of all, to be exceptional at anything, I have realized that it's not about the task at hand. It's actually a growing and living process that fuels your passion and creative spirit that gets funneled into your work. I want to continue to bring my life experiences and artistic awakenings into my work and office to create the best experience for my patients.

Our creativity, inspiration, and emotional temperament are at least as important as the technical aspects of our profession. Creating new smiles is an art form that flows from everything else in our lives - our experiences, relationships, and pleasures.

In the end, what is important is to create dentistry that depends not only on aesthetics but also on beauty, reflecting the psychological features of the created image, and that affect the emotions, sense of identity, behavior, and self-esteem of our patients.
